This is a Senior Product Manager role for a payment routing platform. The team is looking for candidates with experience leading machine learning teams and working on data products.

The ideal candidate will have worked with sales, engineering, finance, and analytics to build a smart routing platform that routes transactions based on approval rate and costs.

In this role, you will interact with enterprise merchants and sales/accounts teams for use-case discovery and partner with engineering and analytics to identify training data, build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models.

  • Lead team to build, deploy and improve machine learning models for payment transaction routing
  • A/B test model against rule-based routing for different target segments
  • Own metrics like total savings for merchants and Braintree, and Approval Rate for the debit product portfolio
  • Partner with engineering and analytics for training, testing, and validation of models
  • Update model based on pricing changes of payment networks
  • Identify goals and metrics to drive prioritization and timely delivery of products and experiments
  • Work closely with development teams in an agile environment
  • Identify additional use-cases and features to lower transaction costs and boost approval rates

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably from a payments background
  • Complete understanding of machine learning concepts, machine learning models, and algorithms
  • Consistent ability to remain user-centric at all times by focusing on customer needs and ability to ask the right questions about any idea using ML knowledge
  • Good understanding of various mathematical and statistical concepts such as regression and data science and machine learning lifecycles
  • Excellent quantitative skills, along with strong analytical skills
