Database Management Expert

The goal of this position is to ensure the smooth operation and management of our databases.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, tuning, deploying, securing, migrating, and upgrading DBMS installations.
  • Maintaining database performance, identifying and resolving database issues, and providing guidance and support to developers on design, code review, and SQL query performance tuning.
  • Migrating databases across Cloud and On-Prem platforms with minimal or no downtime.
  • Implementing HA/DR, replication, database encryption, index, and filegroup management strategies.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in the field.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge in database programming languages (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Knowledge of database backup-recovery, security, and performance monitoring standards
  • Understanding of database concepts – ACID properties, normal forms, DDL/DML, transaction logging, log shipping, mirroring, High-Availability
  • Experience in developing migration plans to migrate on-premises databases to Cloud
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and problem-solving attitude
