Procurement Director Job Description

The role of a procurement director is to lead the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor identification, selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business goals for real estate projects and retail products.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in procurement planning, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Establish procurement policies and processes to ensure efficient, transparent, and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor procurement budgets, analyze cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop long-term sourcing strategies for key categories like construction materials and retail-related inventories.
  • Manage procurement risks by evaluating suppliers' financial health, delivery performance, and quality benchmarks.
  • Implement technology-driven solutions to improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all supplier contracts and procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field. MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of procurement experience in real estate industry only.
  • Proven track record of handling large-scale procurement projects or high-volume retail operations.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and contract laws.
  • Proficiency in ERP procurement modules (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
