Role Overview: As a Brand Leader, you will be responsible for brand planning, execution, and management, overseeing strategic brand assets, brand communication, category communication, identity, and packaging. Your key objectives will be to develop and implement the annual Brand and Media Strategy, manage brand media campaigns, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the annual Brand and Media Strategy, working closely with internal teams, external agencies, and channel media sources.
  • End-to-end management of brand media campaigns, from brief initiation to plan optimization and sharing of learnings with category and channel teams.
  • Hold critical information and insights for key categories, growth marketing, and creatives, synthesizing these to build a robust marketing approach.
  • Manage the consumer-facing marketing budget as the budget custodian.
  • Create marketing strategies for the overall brand and key categories, utilizing the full marketing mix.
  • Plan, align, create, and implement brand assets, serving as the custodian of brand identity, collaterals, and assets.
  • Employ a multi-faceted approach to brand building, including ATL, BTL, content, community, and experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with creative, category, and growth functions to develop marketing plans to support quarter and monthly business goals.
  • Initiate and drive category, competition, consumer, and customer/shopper research to derive actionable insights on the brand.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math, Economics, or Medicine, with an MBA from a premier institute.
  • 12-14 years of growth/sales/business experience, with over 8 years in brand/marketing.
  • Experience in FMCG or retail, preferably in beauty, personal care, lifestyle, or premium retail industries.
  • Fair mix of experience in digital-first consumer businesses and legacy brand businesses.
  • Strong analytical skills, with data-driven decision-making on brand and media, and clear understanding of research insights on category development, customer journey, and media effectiveness.
  • Strong solutioning ability with a creative bent of mind towards business problems.
  • Consumer/customer-first approach, with demonstrated experience.
  • Independent management of creative and media agencies, with understanding of processes and ability to adapt judiciously.
  • Strong 360-degree campaign building credentials, including digital funnels and channels, with media and creative development expertise.
  • Business planning exposure and appreciation of brand as a business asset.
  • Strong bias towards action and hustle.
