Storage Infrastructure Expert

The Storage Infrastructure Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our storage infrastructure.

  • Configure and maintain Mainframe storage subsystems for compatibility, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop and implement storage capacity planning and provisioning strategies to meet current and future storage requirements.
  • Manage storage management software and utilities to automate storage administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor storage performance and resource utilization, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and optimizing data placement.
  • Implement disaster recovery and data replication solutions for Mainframe storage systems.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Mainframe storage subsystems, architecture, and management.
  • Expertise with storage management software and utilities such as DFSMS, DFSMSdss, and DFSMSrmm.
