Are you a strategic thinker with experience in chemical procurement?

We are seeking a skilled Head of Procurement to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, negotiation, and leadership. They will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production in alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
  • Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.
  • Vendor & Contract Management
  • Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
  • Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.
  • Cost Optimization & Budgeting
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Inventory & Supply Assurance
  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimising working capital.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP (SAP/Oracle).
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards.
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
