Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for software development projects, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for various types of testing including Database, cloud, UI, mobile, and API testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, to understand project requirements and ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of defects and work with the development team to address and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and testing, particularly in the areas of cloud testing and mobile testing.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the QA team, and ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Prepare and present reports on testing progress, test results, and quality metrics to management and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the quality assurance process to optimize testing activities' efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, document, and prioritize bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root cause of defects to improve future development cycles.
  • Defect Reporting: Communicate defects and testing outcomes to developers and stakeholders clearly and constructively.
  • Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing to ensure applications can handle expected user loads.
  • Test for vulnerabilities and ensure applications meet security standards.
