SAP Security Consultant Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with SAP security solutions, including role design, governance, risk, and compliance.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SAP security consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of SAP security design principles and role architecture.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and maintain SAP security roles, profiles, and authorisations across ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, and BW.
  • Manage user provisioning, access requests, and licence assignments using SAP Identity Management (IDM).
  • Apply position-based access control models where appropriate.
  • Maintain Firefighter (FF) access via SAP GRC 12.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, segregation of duties (SoD) requirements, and audit controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP authorisation issues, IDM provisioning problems, and SAP cloud access challenges.
  • Support security aspects of system maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and new project implementations.
  • Monitor SAP security logs, identify potential risks, and take proactive action.
  • Collaborate with functional, technical, and audit teams to deliver secure and compliant SAP solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, reports, and training materials.
  • Lead and manage large-scale SAP Security design and restructuring projects.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to lead complex projects in large-scale SAP environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of SAP security design principles and role architecture.
  • Experience with security in ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, and related SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based SAP security (e.g., SAP BTP).
  • SAP security certifications (highly regarded).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in SAP Security, including role design, GRC, and IDM.
