Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of technical spare parts and ship repair services.
  • This involves coordinating with Superintendents to identify supply needs, handling purchasing activities, arranging logistics, and connecting spares to vessels.
  • Additionally, they will send enquiries and requisitions to suppliers worldwide for quotations of annual/bi-annual services, including navigation equipment, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections, hull cleaning, and anodes bulk purchase.
  • They will liaise with vessels on information required pertaining to requisitions.
  • The Procurement Specialist will follow up with quotations from suppliers, prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, packing lists, and other documents.
  • Assisting in logistics arrangement, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport, is also a key responsibility.
  • Liaising with agents and ships for the supply of spare parts and repair services at convenient ports is essential.
  • The incumbent will process invoices, verify vendor invoices against quotations, and ensure invoices are processed within the credit term period.
  • Document filing and printing of Invoices are also part of their duties.
  • Other responsibilities may include performing other duties as assigned by Manager/Superintendents, and contributing to team efforts.
