Job Title: Senior Architect– Project Lead

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale consultancy projects with full design and regulatory strategy oversight, providing technical leadership to the project team.
  • Own small to mid-value projects independently, managing all aspects of design, compliance, and delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure architectural documentation meets client and statutory requirements, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Chair interdisciplinary meetings, coordinate teams, set clear project goals, and manage resources to meet strict deadlines.

 

Technical Expertise
  • Perform thorough reviews of architectural, civil, and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance, identifying potential issues and resolving them efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), collaborating closely with internal and external engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent technical clashes, ensuring timely project completion.

 

Compliance & Permit Liaison
  • Develop and implement proactive communication strategies with regulatory authorities, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring permit applications are submitted on time.
  • Interpret and enforce local/national building codes, fire regulations, PESO guidelines, NBC, and municipal by-laws, ensuring compliance across all projects.
  • Manage the submission of compliance documents and respond to authority queries in a timely manner, minimizing delays.

 

Team & Process Management
  • Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to enhance their technical skills, ensuring well-coordinated outputs and efficient workflow.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for documentation and design integrity, fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
  • Develop and implement quality control protocols for architectural and MEP coordination across projects, driving continuous improvement.
