Securing the Cloud: A Strategic Role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Security Solutions Architect to lead our cloud security efforts. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a deep understanding of modern security technologies and a proven track record of designing and implementing robust and effective security solutions.

This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and excellent communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of security architectures for applications in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Architecture & Design: Develop and maintain strategic plans aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint security, data loss prevention, and cloud security services.
  • Conduct security assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security engineers and other teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
  • Research and evaluate new security technologies and tools.
  • Project Management & Delivery: Lead security-related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery/hand-off.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Present security solutions and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
