Job Description

The Cloud Security Strategist will define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and performance goals. This role involves documenting the implementation of cloud security controls and transitioning to cloud security-managed operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in-depth investigations of security incidents, including malware outbreaks, phishing, data exfiltration, and insider threats.
  • Perform root cause analysis and attack vector tracing for complex security incidents involving operational technology (OT) systems and information technology (IT) systems.
  • Monitor OT network and security logs via security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other monitoring platforms to identify potential threats and anomalies.
  • Design and tune detection rules and correlation logic in SIEM platforms.
  • Proactively hunt for threats using indicators of compromise (IoC), behavioral analytics, and threat intelligence feeds.
  • Correlate internal security data with threat intelligence to identify attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex security alerts and incidents. Mentor and guide level 1 and level 2 analysts on investigation techniques, triage steps, and reporting standards.
Professional and Technical Skills
  • Experience in security operations center (SOC) operations, cybersecurity analysis, or incident response.
  • Experience in OT/ICS environments or critical infrastructure cybersecurity is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, Securonix) and security monitoring tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for security tools including SIEM, endpoint detection and response (EDR), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), threat intelligence platforms, and sandbox environments.
