Electrical Maintenance Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Manager to lead our electrical maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in managing maintenance teams.

About the Role

The Electrical Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and supervising all electrical maintenance activities in the plant. This includes participating in the preparation of maintenance programs, directing the implementation of such programs, examining equipment performance, and providing recommendations to enhance maintainability, reliability, and minimize maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of Maintenance Activities:

• Prepare and implement detailed maintenance procedures and practices ensuring that activities are carried out safely.

• Ensure timely implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

• Ensure that electronic and hard copy records are kept and updated for all equipment and that regular preventive and condition monitoring surveys are carried out by subordinates.

• Monitor the performance and maintenance cost for various mechanical equipment including providing recommendations to enhance maintainability, alleviate operations anomalies, and minimize the maintenance cost of such equipment.

• Recommend alternative maintenance frequencies based on equipment history or regular monitoring surveys in pursuit of optimization.

• Liaise with other Maintenance and Operations Department sectional heads to coordinate inter-discipline work activities or to arrange for plant shutdowns, including participating in such shutdowns, major overhauls, and other maintenance planning activities.

Management of Stores Consumables

• Review Requirements for New Equipment or Major Repairs:

• Evaluate use of existing as well as new proposals, and raise recommendations.

• Ensure no material shortage at any point of time and that delivered materials are in accordance with required standards and specifications.

• Optimize consumables consumption as per the annual business plan.

Safety and 5S

• Ensure Daily 5S Activities:

• Ensure use of PPEs and other work-specific safety equipment by all employees / workers working inside the plant premises and work toward establishing an accident-free workplace with conducive work environment.

• Ensure PEP talks / TBT are being given to all employees and workers before starting any operational / Maintenance activities.

Innovation, Automation, and Continuous Improvement

• Drive Continuous Improvement Projects:

• Drive continuous improvement projects for improving the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of the existing equipment's through appropriate data analysis.

• Perform 7 QC tool-based analysis on various quality-related issues / rejections and suggest changes / modification in the production process and procedure.

• Drive continuous improvement projects in the department. Motivate and encourage team members for maximum participation.

• Ensure 100% compliance and proper documentation and record keeping as per IMS standards.

People Management

• Timely Completion of Performance Reviews:

• Timely completion of the department performance review process.

• Timely completion of skill assessment process and work towards improving the individual skill index.

• Ensure maximum participation of team members in employee engagement activities.
