Database Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in managing distributed search, in-memory, and graph-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data and index shard management, schema planning, and data modelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize clusters for high availability and performance.
  • Optimize data distribution, sharding, caching, and graph traversals for efficient query performance.
  • Design schemas and data models for search, caching, and graph-based use cases.
  • Tune query performance and indexing strategies to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for critical production systems.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring using DevOps tools.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience managing AWS OpenSearch or Elasticsearch in production.
  • 2+ years of experience managing in-memory databases or graph databases.
  • Proven track record of working with critical production systems impacting revenue.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in AWS services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Elasticsearch/OpenSearch APIs.
  • Experience with in-memory databases or graph databases.
  • Skilled in DevOps tools: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Containerization, Monitoring, Scripting.
