Job Overview

Purpose of the Job

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing critical situations to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensuring reliability and efficiency of Data Center Operations. This includes owning Service Orders and SLAs, performing Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Safety checks, Audit Readiness, Compliance, and Space Management.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Shift team in executing planned and unplanned activities within timelines with effective communication.
  2. Track complaints and resolve them within SLA deviations.
  3. Manage incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement recommendations within deadlines.
  4. Manage assets, including warranties, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), lifecycles, and capacity management.
  5. Ensure 100% availability of equipment by tracking and completing 5 PPM tasks on time with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  6. Coordinate with vendors for Return To Factory (RTF) and Time And Materials (T&M) services to ensure uptime of redundant equipment.
  7. Monitor and maintain stock records as per Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.
  8. Collaborate with Customer Engineering teams to address customer queries and submit reports on schedule.
  9. Maintain full compliance with periodic trackers.
  10. Adhere to Physical Security Processes.
  11. Prepare risk assessments and validate updates based on incidents and RCAs.
  12. Update inventory records with capacity versus accommodation versus balance on a monthly basis, including customer details for Rack inventory.
  13. Submit all reports on schedule with agreed-upon timelines.
  14. Achieve 100% audit and compliance standards.
  15. Demonstrate knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices.
