Printer Support Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the management and support of print environments. This role requires strong technical expertise in printers, plotters, and printing from mainframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage print services on servers.
  • Install and upgrade software.
  • Handle badge authentication and issues.
  • Troubleshoot printer issues such as driver installation, mapping, queues, and new requests.
  • Address hardware problems related to printers.
  • Patch print servers and validate their status.
  • Lead vendor calls.
  • Conduct health checks, weekly highlights, and monthly reports.
  • Resolve p1, p2 tickets and handle MI's.
  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Create and review standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and manage enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX for job routing, auditing, and failover.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • OMPlus for centralized job control and monitoring.
  • LRS VPSX for output management and delivery.
  • HP Web Jetadmin for device discovery, configuration, and firmware updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user print issues including errors, queue issues, new requests, and connectivity problems.
  • Manage print drivers and firmware upgrades.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Unix server operating systems.
