Financial Leadership Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial functions, including accounting, compliance, and administration. They will work closely with the management team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring books of accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Overseeing operations in Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable, Payroll, and other financial areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including TDS, GST, Internal Audit, Statutory and Tax Audit, ITR Filling, Secretarial matters, etc.
  • Finalizing Trial Balances and provisions on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Providing clear visibility through dashboards, MIS, financial statements for statutory reporting and internal reporting of yearly, quarterly, and monthly financials to various stakeholders like CXOs, Board, and external agencies as required.
  • Forecasting cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for expense and investment.
  • Managing external stakeholders, partners, and agencies, e.g., Payroll partners, Banks, Legal advisors, Statutory offices of the Governments, etc.
  • Actively participating and liaising with company auditors to ensure smooth and timely audits.
  • Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices (setting up SOPs).
  • Supporting the management in next-round fund raises with requisite data, analysis, and due diligence.
  • Supporting and overseeing admin operations of the company and experience centers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of experience in similar roles with small-medium-sized companies or technology start-ups.
  • Prior experience working in e-commerce accounting is an added plus.
  • Building the finance function from 0-1 for a scaling commerce company excites you.
  • You're open to being a generalist and adapting to the uncertainty of early-stage startups. Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and problem-solve for aspects that you or the team may encounter the first time or are not familiar with.
