Location and Accessibility

Job Title and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Faculty Member to join our team as Assistant Professor in Marketing and Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service activities.

Teaching Responsibilities

The Faculty Member will be responsible for facilitating student learning through research-led teaching and effective instructions. This includes developing course curriculum, course handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations as per UGC/Council guidelines. The Faculty Member will also be responsible for performance evaluations of students' learning for all assigned classes.

Research and Partnership Activities

The Faculty Member will be expected to publish research papers with journals of repute with high impact factors. They will also be responsible for encouraging and developing innovative research activity in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Additionally, they will motivate students to participate in various extracurricular skilled programs, conferences, and workshops.

Consulting, Projects, and MDPs

The Faculty Member will be responsible for consulting assignments, projects, and management development programs. They will liaise with industry and government/non-government institutions to source consulting, projects, and MDPs.

Student Advising

The Faculty Member will be available to students via email, phone, or personal conferences. They will act as a personal tutor for students, supporting them in maximizing the benefit of their time at SGT University and motivating them to build their careers.

Service and Cooperative Extension

The Faculty Member will schedule and conduct on-site clinical, internship, observation, field experience, industrial training as a part of course curriculum.

Administration

The Faculty Member will participate in departmental and faculty meetings and involve in all academic and research activities of the department along with other responsibilities assigned to them.

Expected Candidature

A candidate should have a graduation in Commerce & Management, Master in Commerce/M.B.A in relevant discipline with Ph.D. degree and academic experience with excellent research ability. Ph.D. candidates with a good research track record will be preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience is required for this position.
