Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the technology transfer process, ensuring seamless transition from pilot plant to commercial scale.

  • Define strategic designs that contribute to cost and process efficiencies.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and implement new systems and processes to enhance work efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve design plans proposed by Civil/Electrical & Instrumentation/mechanical/Process teams.
  • Align and support project execution team through proper planning on cost, time, quality, and safety parameters.
Operational Planning
  • Plan and conduct feasibility studies, scale-up studies, and technology transfer leading to a successful process handover at commercial scale.
  • Provide support to Process Technology in developing special equipment needed in lab work.
Leadership and People Management
  • Recommend initiatives for building requisite skills and competencies through focused professional development and capability building initiatives for the Technology Transfer function.
  • Review workforce capacity gaps within the Technology Transfer function and ensure timely recruitment in alignment with Corporate HR policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputable institution, with 20-25 years of experience in technology transfer and operational management. They should have good understanding of process safety, knowledge of process design, scale-up, and commissioning of commercial plants, as well as strong experience in managing technology transfer operations and process safety.
