  • DevOps is a critical role that brings together software development and IT operations to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scripting Experience: The ideal candidate will have good scripting experience in languages such as Bash and Python. This skill is essential for automating tasks, building scripts, and integrating various tools.
  2. CI/CD System Administration: We are seeking someone with experience in setting up and administering at least one CI/CD system like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis, or similar. This expertise is crucial for streamlining our software delivery process.
  3. Docker and Containerization: A strong background in Docker, Docker Compose, and Swarm is necessary for containerizing applications and ensuring efficient deployment and scaling.
  4. Cloud Experience: While not mandatory, having experience running servers on AWS at production scale is desirable. This would enable us to leverage cloud-native services and take advantage of scalability and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Team Player and Problem-Solver: As a team player, the successful candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to learn new technologies quickly. They should also have a keen eye for systems and be able to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Security Expertise: Familiarity with setting up SSO (Single Sign-On) or managing LDAP servers is an asset in securing our infrastructure and protecting user data.
