Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

You will analyze and optimize the PLM application infrastructure to ensure seamless integration with cloud-native technologies. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will architect and implement Azure solutions that meet the business and IT needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and adapt the PLM infrastructure landscape to leverage cloud flexibility and scalability.
  • Drive the Azure infrastructure landscape within Siemens Energy, working closely with a global team to bring best-in-class cloud technologies to the PLM organization.
  • Optimize cost across various Azure subscriptions by utilizing all available tools.
  • Develop a strategic vision for optimal communication between Azure, GCP, and AWS for efficient interaction between Siemens Energy applications.
  • Minimize reliance on on-premises devices and networks.
  • Design and implement an Azure Disaster Recovery process for various PLM applications.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and other tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with relevant experience in application infrastructure, networking concepts, etc.
  • Cloud experience, especially in Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of the Well-Architected Framework from Microsoft.
  • Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Services and ability to guide legacy applications towards containerization.
  • Proficient in Azure security products such as Defender, Firewall, etc., and able to understand SE cybersecurity regulations and transform them into Azure policies.
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
