Assembly Operations Manager Job Summary">

The Assembly Operations Manager will lead a team of assemblers, responsible for the assembly of complex units. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for process improvement.

  • Responsible for work assignments to assemblers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting production targets.
  • Develop and update daily assembly production plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure that cell assemblers adhere to quality operating procedures, work instruction & workmanship guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Coordinate availability of parts for assembly, identify and resolve assembly problems, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Manage cell layouts and housekeeping, issue parts and update records in the E1 system, and requisition maintenance for equipment, tools, fixtures & instruments.
  • Generate new requirements for tools, fixtures & instruments, coordinate with industrial engineering for development & repair of fixtures, and requisition calibration of instruments.
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency, log daily labor hours, and ensure compliance to operational control procedure requirements.
