Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the delivery of retail interior projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing turnkey retail interior projects, including furniture and fittings, with an ability to understand and interpret CAD drawings.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project execution from concept to completion, ensuring that all work is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Execution: Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, including design, procurement, installation, and handover.
  2. Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Budget Management: Develop, manage, and track project budgets and timelines. Ensure projects are completed within agreed financial and time constraints.
  4. CAD Drawings: Interpret and review CAD drawings, layouts, and design plans to ensure alignment with client requirements and feasibility for implementation.
  5. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials, finishes, and installations, ensuring that all work complies with specifications and meets client expectations.
  6. Vendor Management: Source and manage suppliers for furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks during project execution and implement mitigation plans.
  8. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and issues, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.
  9. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of project management experience, specifically in the retail interior design and fit-out sector.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel for project tracking, budgeting, and reporting. Familiarity with CAD software and ability to understand and review technical drawings and plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain professional relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Client-Focused: Ability to manage client expectations, deliver high-quality results, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with project management software: e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.
