Job Description

This is a long-term contract position with a global technology leader, ranked as one of the best companies to work with in the world.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Observability Engineer with expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda), Synthetic Monitoring, and Dynatrace to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of APM tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead Dynatrace APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Develop onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling (e.g., Catchpoint, Dynatrace) to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.
  • Partner with security teams on compliance, threat detection, and governance related to monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools (Catchpoint, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.

Primary Skills: AWS, Application Performance Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, Dynatrace. Secondary Skills: Playwright Scripting.
