Baker Tournant Job Description

Our team seeks a highly skilled Baker Tournant to oversee daily bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient bakery operations, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • They will produce high-quality bread products in accordance with daily menus, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • The Baker Tournant will assist the Head Baker in forecasting production, recording leftovers, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.
  • Key Responsibilities include setting up bread displays in buffets, maintaining knowledge of USPH regulations, cleaning the bakery according to schedule, and preparing the bakery for inspections.
  • The role requires a proactive approach to requisitioning items from main stores to the bakery shop, verifying recipes and yields meet company standards, and assisting CDP Bakers with daily consumption reports.
  • The Baker Tournant will also respond to guest and crew inquiries, attend meetings, training, and work-related activities, and take on financial responsibilities such as managing expenses and revenue targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum three years' experience as a Baker in an upscale setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
  • High school diploma or basic education equivalency required.
