SAP BASIS Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP BASIS administrator to join our team.

As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and management of our SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer SAP system environments, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems, including ECC, S/4HANA, and BW.
  • Manage transports, client copies, and system refreshes.
  • Configure and manage SAP Solution Manager and EarlyWatch Alerts.
  • Perform user and role administration in SAP systems.
  • Monitor system performance and perform kernel upgrades and patching.
  • Manage database administration, backups, and recovery.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to support SAP environments.
  • Support audits, implement security recommendations, and maintain compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration and operations.
  • Experience with installation and configuration of SAP NetWeaver systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA database administration is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SAP authorization concepts and user management.
  • Familiarity with SAP transport management system (STMS).
  • Knowledge of backup/restore strategies and monitoring tools (e.g., CCMS, SolMan).
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • SAP BASIS certification (optional but preferred).
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to work in 24/7 support or on-call rotation if required.
