Aircraft Propulsion Systems Architect

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Aircraft Propulsion Systems Architect to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and be part of a transformative project.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing. They will be responsible for defining, decomposing, and managing system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System-Level Requirements Management: Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements for nacelles, ensuring integration with the engine and aircraft, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Nacelle System Design: Oversee conceptual and detailed design of nacelle systems, ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA) and certification processes.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and manage testing and validation plans for nacelle components and systems, interpreting and analyzing test data to verify system performance and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of nacelle systems, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • In-depth understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA) and certification processes.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as CATIA, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
