Subject Teacher - Senior Secondary - Political Science & Legal Studies

Department

Senior Secondary (Grd 11 & 12) CBSE Board

Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of a subject teacher is to provide instruction, guidance and support to students in specific subject areas. Subject teachers are responsible for designing and delivering lessons, assessing students' progress, providing feedback and facilitating learning experience that helps students develop knowledge, skills and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the lesson plan prepared is followed along with the mentioned resources and activities.
  • Ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
  • Use effective pedagogical styles to suit different aptitudes, learning styles and interests of the students.

Student Administration:

  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the institution
  • Promote maximum student participation and assist students in improving study habits.
  • Keep a check on basic hygiene and pay attention to health matters seriously and diligently for each child.

Classroom Functioning:

  • Create an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards and interest centers
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents and provide feedback to them.

Secondary Responsibility: Administration / School Policies:

  • Compile, maintain and ensure confidentiality of school records.
  • Adhere to all policies in force/introduced from time to time and actively implement the same.
  • Participate in professional development through internal and external courses, seminars, conferences and events.
  • Attend all meetings convened by the principal and coordinators.

Work Relations:

  • Interfacing with Principal for academic related issues.
  • Interfacing with Co-teachers and other staff members as and when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate & Post Graduate Degree in Geography with B. Ed (mandatory)

Experience:

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience
