Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Speech and Language Therapist to support diverse learners and foster inclusive education by developing and implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), providing instructional support tailored to students' unique needs, maintaining thorough documentation and reporting, managing student behaviour effectively, and adapting curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
- Determine students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardised tests and informal evaluations.
- Create and implement Individualised Therapy Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
- Conduct one-on-one and group speech therapy sessions to improve articulation, fluency, language comprehension, and expressive communication.
A commitment to collaboration, empathy, and continuous professional growth is essential. You will work closely with special education teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents to support integrated student development.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant policies and standards.
- Educate staff and caregivers on effective communication strategies and support techniques.
- Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
You will be skilled in using educational technology and assistive devices, and proficient in both Tamil and English.
