Accounts Payable Specialist Job Summary

This is a pivotal role in our finance team where you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We require an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to assist vendors and stakeholders with the accounts payable process, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • The successful candidate will reconcile the accounts payable ledger to guarantee accuracy and completeness, providing critical support to our financial operations.
  • You will be responsible for vendor ledger reconciliation with our company books, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • It's essential to send timely payment requests to the Finance department to facilitate efficient payment processing.
  • As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will analyze bank statements to identify and resolve payment discrepancies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Additionally, you will generate and approve vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve vendor payment queries in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Finally, prepare payment record documents for audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent is required for this position.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting and finance is necessary to succeed in this role.
  • The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Complete knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and laws governing the accounting field is essential.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills are required to manage complex financial data.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills are necessary to effectively interact with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Detailed-oriented individuals who can work independently are highly valued in this role.
