Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Formulation Development Specialist to play a key role in the development of new formulations that meet product delivery goals. This involves creating reproducible and scalable formulations using scientific rationale and optimizing processes for efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop prototype formulations using excipients, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of trials and creation of Product Development Reports.
  • Apply Quality by Design (QbD) principles for product and process optimization, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration, facilitating seamless scale-up of developed formulations.
Deliverables:
  1. Conduct comprehensive literature searches to create detailed drug profiles.
  2. Design prototypes with strategic use of excipients, demonstrating rational formulation approaches.
  3. Perform preformulation studies as required, addressing critical formulation challenges.
  4. Conduct accelerated stability studies to ensure long-term formulation stability.
  5. Carry out proof-of-concept studies to demonstrate bioequivalence or comparative pharmacokinetics, providing valuable insights into formulation performance.
  6. Scale up studies at 1/10th scale or engineering batch level, verifying formulation feasibility and scalability.
  7. Transfer technology and manufacture clinical batches, ensuring seamless transition from laboratory to industrial-scale production.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a M. Pharm degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in formulation development, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
