Job Title: Research Formulation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Formulation Specialist to join our team. As a Research Formulation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing new formulations and improving existing ones to meet product delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new formulations using scientific rationale and evaluate their stability and scalability.
  • Optimize product and process using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Quality by Design (QbD) principles.
  • Ensure proper documentation of every trial in the log note books and create Product Development Reports for filing.
  • Conduct literature searches to create drug profiles and perform preformulation studies as required.
  • Scale up developed formulations to engineering batch level and transfer technology to manufacturing sites.

Requirements:

  • M. Pharm/Ph.D. degree with 5-7 years of experience in formulation development.
  • Strong knowledge of excipients, polymers, and pharmaceutical development principles.
  • Experience with DOE and QbD is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Functional / Technical: Schedule and follow all steps to deliver the drug as per QTPP, select suitable excipients based on properties or scientific rationale, design processes that are reproducible and scalable.
  • Design of Experiments: Execute experiments as per DOE to optimize product and process.
  • Pharmaceutical Development Report (PDR): Prepare PDR as per CTD module 3 requirements and comply with regulatory requirements as defined in QTPP.
  • Project Management: Plan and prioritize multiple project deadlines to meet product delivery goals.
