Network Infrastructure Specialist

The primary objective of a Network Infrastructure Specialist is to design, deploy, and maintain reliable and secure network infrastructure for various organizations. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing computer networks, ensuring high performance, availability, and scalability.

This specialist will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with vendors for link down/related issues
  • Detecting and responding to incidents proactively, with clear escalation procedures and communication channels
  • Delivering regular reports on network performance, including bandwidth utilization, latency, uptime, and availability metrics, with actionable insights for network optimization

This role requires expertise in:

SD WAN Expertise
  • Managing private links to ensure high-performance WAN links that connect remote sites with redundancy and failover solutions
  • Managing SD-WAN solutions, enabling dynamic routing and bandwidth optimization across regions
  • Providing mechanisms to minimize jitter, latency, and packet loss, ensuring an optimal user experience for global collaboration tools

This specialist must have knowledge of:

Branch Network WAN Expertise
  • Managing WAN links connecting all branches, ensuring redundancy and high availability for office locations and retail outlets across the country
  • Ensuring stable and secure network connections for all branch offices and locations, with real-time monitoring and troubleshooting
  • L2 Network Troubleshooting, capacity trend/problem identification, patching, configuration management

This role also requires:

LAN/Wi-Fi Expertise
  • Full lifecycle management of LAN, including switch configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Managing the Wi-Fi network, ensuring coverage, security, and performance for both office and remote locations
  • Providing secure, segregated guest Wi-Fi access with appropriate bandwidth controls

Audit participation and documentation are crucial aspects of this role:

  • Participating in all audits requested by the customer, including filling in required forms and collecting relevant data
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of all requested audit materials
  • Completing all audit questionnaires and related documents as required by the customer, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with the scope of the service provided
