Optimising Infrastructure Expansion through Operational Excellence

The goal of this project is to establish a new manufacturing facility as part of a broader capacity expansion strategy to cater to the growing demand in the building materials and pipes market.

The plant will be set up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with an expectation of working onsite at the facility location. The consultant will play a key role in translating design plans into operational execution, ensuring seamless project management, and delivering a plant that is optimised for efficiency and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of setting up the plant from scratch
  • Support in planning the facility layout and workflows to optimise production and efficiency
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Advise on operational readiness, commissioning plans, and early-stage production requirements
  • Report progress and key risks to senior stakeholders and leadership team
  • Identify and resolve on-ground operational bottlenecks in collaboration with plant design and construction experts

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the building materials or pipes manufacturing sector
  • Strong exposure to plant setup, operational planning, and project management
  • Experience working below head level, with hands-on involvement in operations establishment
  • Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills
