Senior Cloud Data Architect

About the Role:

As a Senior Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Dataflow, Dataproc and Pub/Sub.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing scalable data architectures on GCP.
  2. Developing and deploying data ingestion and transformation processes using tools like Apache Beam and Apache Spark.
  3. Managing and optimizing data storage solutions on GCP, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL.
  4. Implementing data security and access controls using GCP's Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Cloud Security Command Center.
  5. Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and storage solutions using GCP's Stackdriver and Cloud Monitoring tools.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing large-scale data architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core data services.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Beam or Apache Spark.
  • Familiarity with data security and access control principles.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Finance / ESG Risk / CSRD / Regulatory Reporting.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data governance best practices.
  • Knowledge of Terraform.
