Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Demanding Role:

This position entails designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS services like EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases and Lambda functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Platform Engineering:
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions: Assist in designing, implementing and maintaining backup, high-availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Analyze system performance, identify trends and implement improvements to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
  • SaaS Platforms Administration: Administer company SaaS platforms, prioritizing user productivity.
  • Collaboration with DevOps and Development Teams: Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
  • Staying Up-to-date: Stay current with the latest cloud services, features and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing cloud solutions.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Key Skills: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures. Proficiency in AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda and CloudWatch.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and orchestration tools like ECS and EKS.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
