Product Management Support Role

The Product Management Support (PMS) function is accountable for providing comprehensive support to all aspects of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of the product range, encompassing product designs, manufacture, and test methods, as well as customer applications.
  • Innovation and Roadmapping: Create and maintain product roadmaps to drive innovation and strategic development.
  • Business Case Development: Produce Business Cases to identify the most rewarding product development opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis and technical commercial evaluations of competitor products.
  • Sales and Bid Support: Assist Sales and Bid teams in sales opportunities requiring product development, including Go/No-Go and Bid Approval processes, and customer meetings.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop relationships with customers' Product Managers and Experts to understand their roadmaps and development plans.
  • Communication and Documentation: Communicate product-related developments, upgrades, issues, and bulletins across local, regional, and global functions, as well as to customers.
  • Marketing Materials Production: Create product marketing literature, including presentations, flyers, catalogs, and input into online product configurators.
  • Customer Enquiry Resolution: Identify product solutions to customer enquiries outside of 'business as usual,' both directly with customers and supporting Application Engineering department.
  • Change Management Participation: Actively participate in Change Management Networks, transitioning new products from Product Development through to Full Sales Release and Production Release gates.
  • Product Requirements Specification: Produce Product Requirement Specifications for all new product developments.
  • Product Performance Indicators: Maintain product Key Performance Indicators and product analysis, such as sales analysis, cost tracking, and records.
  • Product Bulletins: Create Product Bulletins.
  • Compliance Matrix: Develop and maintain compliance matrices against international and industry specifications.
  • Market Intelligence: Coordinate, gather, and validate market intel for all product-related information and competitor activity.
