System Support Specialist

The System Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Technical Support: Providing timely and effective support for software and hardware issues, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hardware Management: Managing and maintaining computer hardware, including installation of peripheral devices and upgrading or replacing existing hardware as needed.
  • Software Deployment: Installing, configuring, and testing standard applications, including MS Outlook.
  • Network Operations: Installing and troubleshooting network printers, VPN and firewall configuration, and ensuring network security.
  • Security Protocols: Implementing and managing BitLocker encryption, antivirus updates, and virus protection management.
  • Active Directory Administration: Creating user accounts, resetting passwords, updating group policies, and controlling access.
  • Remote Assistance: Providing remote support for software and system-related issues.
  • Asset Tracking: Coordinating with vendors for hardware issues and maintaining inventory records for hardware and software assets.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
