Key Human Resources Role

The purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the process of attracting, selecting, and hiring top talent by working closely with various stakeholders to fill open positions in a timely manner.
  • Managing full-cycle recruitment, which involves sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations, and ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse qualified talent through various recruiting channels.
  • Maintaining an efficient onboarding process for new hires, ensuring positive candidate experiences and seamless integration into the organization.
  • Providing induction training and coordinating workplace setup for new joiners.
  • Ensuring accurate processing of employee payroll and timely distribution of paychecks.
  • Calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, statutory deductions, and other compensation components.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Administering employee benefits programs, including health and travel insurances, statutory, and other company-provided benefits.
  • Developing and implementing employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge across the organization.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Meticulous and organized approach.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and good writing style.
  • Working experience in a ship management company and hiring experience for ex-mariner employees advantageous.
