Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dam Design Specialist to join our team.

  • This role will involve providing expert review of all design submissions, ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices.
  • The successful candidate will evaluate and finalize the preliminary design of rehabilitation works for dams, considering safety and structural integrity.
  • They will also review technical bid documents and provide input on costs and feasibility.
  • In addition, they will develop and implement customized training programs for dam safety and design experts.
  • Conducting dam safety inspections and managing transmittals to ensure accurate documentation is also an essential part of this role.
  • The specialist will collaborate with CPMU and CWC to publish technical papers and present case studies at conferences.
  • Preparing Project Rehabilitation Reports (PRR) and contributing to the finalization of the CS&QA Manual and Plan is also required.
  • Facilitating capacity building and providing need-based design solutions for major rehabilitation components is another key responsibility.
  • Offering expert input on physical modeling and cost estimation for significant structural interventions is also an important aspect of this role.

This is a specialized position that requires expertise in dam design and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with the project director and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of dam rehabilitation projects.
