Role & responsibilities

  • Lead the complete civil design engineering process for hydropower infrastructure including dams, intake structures, tunnels, surge shafts, penstocks, powerhouses, spillways, and tailrace channels.
  • Define design strategies that address unique geological, seismic, and hydraulic challenges in both Himalayan and peninsular India.
  • Prepare and review key deliverables including Design Basis Reports (DBR), detailed design documents, design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Lead concept development and technical feasibility evaluations for civil components in new projects and retrofit/rehabilitation of existing ones.
  • Ensure integration of site investigation data, topography, and hydrology into civil design.

Preferred candidate profile

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum years of experience in civil design for hydropower/water infrastructure projects
