Solar Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Photovoltaic (PV) designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential solar design, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality results within tight timelines.
This role requires the ability to interpret site data, optimize system layouts, and produce professional, code-compliant designs using advanced PV design software. Designs must be completed and delivered efficiently, making time management and responsiveness critical to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Design residential solar PV systems based on site data and project specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, utility standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Review and incorporate as-built site information including photos, roof measurements, and shading.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure designs align with customer expectations and project requirements.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency throughout daily workload.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential PV system design.
- Strong proficiency with at least one major solar design platform (e.g., Scanifly, Aurora, Helioscope).
- Familiarity with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume design environment.
- Familiarity with communication platforms such as Slack.
