Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Taxation Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our indirect tax practice, you will be responsible for developing and implementing taxation strategies that drive business growth and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Generation & Business Origination: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Practice Leadership & Strategic Growth: Provide leadership and strategic direction to the indirect tax practice, driving growth and expansion.
  • Client Advisory & Regulatory Advocacy: Advise clients on taxation matters, including GST, Customs, and Excise, and advocate on their behalf to regulatory bodies.
  • Litigation Strategy & Dispute Resolution: Develop and implement litigation strategies to resolve disputes and minimize risk.
  • Knowledge Capital & Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date with changes in taxation laws and regulations, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and clients.
  • Team Capability Building & Talent Development: Develop the skills and abilities of team members, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to deliver high-quality services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integrated Solutions: Work closely with other departments to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory; additional qualifications such as LLB or MBA (Finance/Taxation) will be preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 15+ years of experience in Indirect Tax (GST, Customs, Excise), with at least 5+ years in a leadership/Partner/Director role in a Big4 or top-tier consulting firm.
  • Proven expertise in GST legislation, litigation, and strategic tax advisory across industries.
  • Strong experience in business development and revenue origination.
