Electrical Maintenance Professional
">The Head Electrical Maintenance position oversees the direction, coordination, and supervision of all electrical maintenance activities within the plant. This includes participating in the development of maintenance programs, directing the implementation of such programs, examining equipment performance, and providing recommendations to enhance maintainability, reliability, and minimize maintenance costs.
">- Develop and implement detailed maintenance procedures and practices to ensure safe execution of activities.
- Ensure timely implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Manage electronic and hard copy records for all equipment, conducting regular preventive and condition monitoring surveys by subordinates.
- Monitor performance and maintenance costs for various mechanical equipment, providing recommendations to enhance maintainability, alleviate operations anomalies, and minimize maintenance costs.
- Recommend alternative maintenance frequencies based on equipment history or regular monitoring surveys to optimize performance.
- Liaise with other Maintenance and Operations Department sectional heads to coordinate inter-discipline work activities or arrange plant shutdowns, including participating in shutdowns, major overhauls, and maintenance planning activities.
Consumables Management
">- Evaluate requirements for new equipment or major repairs, assessing existing proposals and raising recommendations.
- Ensure no material shortages at any point in time, with delivered materials meeting required standards and specifications.
- Optimize consumables consumption according to the annual business plan.
5S and Safety Practices
">- Ensure daily 5S activities on the shop floor.
- Enforce use of PPEs and work-specific safety equipment by all employees working inside the plant premises, aiming for an accident-free workplace and conducive work environment.
- Conduct PEP talks / TBT sessions before starting operational/Maintenance activities.
Innovation, Automation, and Continuous Improvement
">- Drive continuous improvement projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of existing equipment through data analysis.
- Perform 7 QC tool-based analysis on quality-related issues/rejections, suggesting changes/modifications in production processes and procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement projects in the department, motivating team members for maximum participation.
- Ensure 100% compliance and proper documentation/record keeping as per IMS standards.
People Management
">- Timely completion of department performance review process.
- Complete skill assessment process, working towards improving individual skill index.
- Encourage maximum team member participation in employee engagement activities.
Required Skills and Knowledge
">- Educational Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical, Instrumentation
- Total Years of Experience: 15-20 years of experience in Cold Rolling Mill Electrical Maintenance department
