Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

The role of a Quantity Surveyor is pivotal in the estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering support, billing verification, and cost control for various services including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, IBMS, and ELV across multiple assets.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed MEP BOQs based on design drawings and service layouts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze vendor/contractor quotes, providing comparative cost analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Validate contractor RA bills for all MEP services with actual executed quantities to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Maintain a comprehensive MEP cost database for internal benchmarking and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate closely with consultants and internal MEP design & execution teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor cost control by validating quantities and highlighting scope deviations to prevent overruns.
  • Track changes, variations, and document claims/disputes to mitigate potential risks.
  • Support the procurement team in technical-commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms.
  • Assist in preparing overall project cost reports, including MEP breakdowns to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Ensure alignment between civil and MEP works to avoid overlaps and optimize resource allocation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of QS experience in MEP domain across real estate/commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and MEP estimation software to streamline workflows.
  • Knowledge of NBC, IS codes, IE Rules, ASHRAE, and relevant standards to ensure compliance.
  • Clear understanding of integration between MEP and civil works to drive efficient project delivery.
