As a senior software engineer, you will be working on digital banking solutions that process over 4 trillion payments every year. These solutions are used by 17 of the top 50 US banks, by asset size.

You will be responsible for customizing these solutions for our customers, which have a direct impact on their end users. This is an opportunity to work on complex projects and make a real difference in people's lives.

We are looking for someone who possesses excellent communication skills, is a problem solver, and can work comfortably in agile teams. You should also be comfortable with version control systems like Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven.

The ideal candidate will have strong coding experience with Java, J2EE, SQL, and experience with frameworks like Spring. They should also have experience developing REST and SOAP services, as well as solid experience with database queries and data modeling.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who can lead teams and provide technical support. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take responsibility for complex situations.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Bangalore, India office (Hybrid). The role is part of the Engineering - Software & QA department and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise with hands-on coding for development and enhancement of digital banking solutions.
  • Follows software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Participates and contributes in formal and informal code reviews.
  • Write unit and integration test cases.
  • Performs production support and troubleshooting and maintenance (defect resolution).
  • Write well-designed, testable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class customer experience.
  • Able to guide junior developers.
  • POC on new technologies/frameworks.
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong coding experience with Java, J2EE, SQL.
  • Strong experience in java frameworks, especially Spring framework.
  • Solid experience developing with SQL queries, stored procedures, views and triggers.
  • Experience coding REST and SOAP services.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working experience with version control systems like Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven.
