Job Title: Government Policy Professional

Job Summary:

This is a challenging role that involves assisting and overseeing Public Affairs initiatives within assigned responsibility areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders, shaping policies to advance the company's reputation as a reliable partner, and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and drive policy agenda in alignment with business teams.
  • Responsible for unlocking policy barriers to ensure timely patient access to innovative therapies through collaborations and partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues in Market Access, Medical, and Commercial, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and ERC to ensure a cross-functional approach that is aligned in both strategy and implementation.
  • Develop and manage networks with key government functionaries and relevant ministries to support business agenda.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of relevant government policy positions, white papers, tools, and data in coordination with country PA and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Map external stakeholders, systematically engage, and advocate to key policymakers and present the relevant economic, product, and therapeutic value proposition to shape optimal policy environment.
  • Foster and manage partnership opportunities leveraging existing platforms like industry trade associations, physician societies, patient groups, think tanks, etc., or set up new platforms to advance key policy goals.
  • Lead contribute on specific projects with Market Access Franchise teams regarding planning, execution, and reporting as part of a cross-functional team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in public health, public policy, economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience of minimum 10 years, preferably in healthcare, pharma industries.
  • Strong experience of engaging and interacting with government stakeholders demonstrating partnership collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English language (Hindi language is not mandatory).
