Business Development Opportunity at Spinnaker Analytics

Spinnaker Analytics, a Boston-based predictive analytics and artificial intelligence company, is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth initiatives within the US insurance market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, ultimately contributing to our success in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at achieving company goals and financial targets.
  • Research and identify potential clients and markets, focusing on the US insurance sector.
  • Conduct cold calls or drive email campaigns to generate new leads and set up meetings with prospective clients.
  • Present our solutions to prospects to convert them into new potential clients.
  • Foster long-term relationships with prospects, clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties involved.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to develop and implement client-focused solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to refine business development strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and market insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, with a strong focus on outbound and international sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a B2B environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to facilitate successful contract discussions.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and business development software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Ability to think strategically and develop effective growth strategies.
