Job Title

A seasoned Backup Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in supporting enterprise-level backup solutions is required to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and integrity of data across large, complex, and distributed environments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain daily oversight and management of implemented backup solutions, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated restore jobs, failed jobs, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement best practices for backup solutions and optimize the backup environment.
Skills Required
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of multiple backup applications on client/cloud servers.
  • Experience in catalog recovery and migration activities.
  • Knowledge of de-duplication and troubleshooting issues related to DDB & MSDP.
  • Proficiency in configuring and restoring database-level backups (SQL, Informix, Oracle, SAP HANA, Sybase, SAP Oracle, Exchange, DB2 etc).
  • Strong understanding of Commvault and NetBackup, backup policies, media agents, and clients.
  • Knowledge of VMware, Windows, and Linux operation systems, networking, security, D2D & Tape Library concepts, and associated technologies in an enterprise multi-site backup environment.
