Job Title: Chief Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned data protection expert to lead and execute high-level engagements, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations and embedding privacy-by-design into client processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage cross-industry data protection projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.).
  • Conduct thorough privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Design, review, and enhance robust privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Implement and monitor effective privacy controls, including data subject rights, consent management, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure comprehensive privacy compliance in technology and business processes.
  • Develop and deliver awareness sessions and training programs on data protection.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management and clients on privacy risks, compliance gaps, and remediation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in data protection, information security, or compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with data protection audits, assessments, and compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other data protection/security frameworks.
  • Ability to manage complex client engagements, lead teams, and deliver projects within timelines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
  • CIPT / CIPP-E / CISM / CISA or equivalent data protection/security certifications.
  • ISO 27701 Implementer / Lead Auditor is an advantage.
